The Wastewater Treatment Section is responsible for the operation and maintenance of multiple wastewater treatment facilities.  Treating the wastewater and returning it to the river is done at the Kill Creek Water Resource Recovery Plant. The process of separating the waste from the wastewater is complex and difficult.

 

The safety, efficiency, and compliance of the plant have received recognition and awards in 2004, 2005, 2007, and 2012.

The Line Maintenance Section is responsible for maintaining the sanitary sewer collection system which collects and delivers wastewater to the Wastewater Treatment Plants for treatment.
