We believe the Gardner Police Department, comprised of 37 police officers and 5 civilian employees, is one of the most dedicated and professional law enforcement organizations in the nation. It is our mission to protect and serve, but it is also an honor and duty to serve our citizens with respect, integrity, and professionalism in all aspects of our operations.

Gardner is often ranked as one of the safest cities in Kansas. While we attribute this success to the daily efforts of our men and women in uniform and our support staff, we know it’s also because of our partnership with our biggest supporters – our residents. Our citizens recently demonstrated their ongoing support with the opening of our new Gardner Justice Center. In August of 2017, our citizens voted in support of a bond to fund the construction of the facility, which will be our home for many years to come.  We are forever grateful for our residents exhibited support, and we will continue to work hard to maintain their confidence and trust to safeguard this successful partnership.
