City of Gardner’s Municipal Court is a division of the Finance Department. The division maintains and enhances the highest quality of judicial service as a neutral entity, serving all parties in each case equally, fairly and courteously. 

Traffic, misdemeanor and code violations of the City of Gardner are handled through the Municipal Court.

Court Sessions

Municipal Court is held on the second Tuesday and the following Wednesday following the second Tuesday of each month, and the fourth Tuesday and the Wednesday following the fourth Tuesday of each month as the regular court sessions of the Municipal Court of the City of Gardner, Kansas, which shall be held at the Gardner Justice Center, 16540 N Moonlight Road, Gardner, Kansas. The Municipal Judge may cancel court sessions or add additional court sessions as deemed necessary at any time.

Municipal Court will hold Traffic Court Dockets every Tuesday and Wednesday at 1:00 p.m.

• 2:00 p.m. Traffic Trials
• 3:00 p.m. - Attorney Plea Dockets
• 4:00 p.m. - Video Arraignment 
• 4:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Trials - Defendants and witnesses must check in 30 minutes before trial

Fourth Tuesday:

• 2:00 p.m. Pro Se Docket
• 3:00 p.m. Court Appointed Attorney Docket
• 4:00 p.m. Video Arraignment
• 4:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Trials- Defendants and witnesses must check in 30 minutes before trial

2nd and 4th Wednesdays: 

• 2:00 p.m. Virtual Court - Only available for those that previously signed up.
• 3:00 p.m. Failure to Appear Docket
• 4:00 p.m. Initial Appearance  - Must be checked in by 4:30 p.m.
• 4:00 p.m. Video Arraignment
