Provides a discount of up to $30 per month toward internet service for eligible households and up to $75 per month for households on qualifying Tribal lands.
Eligible households may receive a one-time discount of up to $100 to purchase a laptop or desktop computer, or a tablet from participating providers if they contribute more than $10 and less than $50 toward the purchase price.

Catch-a-Ride (CaR) is a volunteer transportation service through Johnson County Human Services that serves Johnson County residents who are 60+ years old, disabled, or in a life transition where transportation is unavailable. Drivers take individuals to medical appointments (pharmacy is an extra stop) or social service agencies within the Johnson County area. This service requires at least five business days advance notice for all ride requests. Due to the high volume of weekly rides, individuals are encouraged to call far enough in advance for a ride request. Riders can request one ride per week. Additionally, riders must complete the application process, which includes signing a release of waiver and liability form.

Provides public transportation throughout Johnson County. Bus route 596 3-Trails-Edgerton Express, began connects workers to jobs near New Century Parkway and Logistics Park KC, with multiple stops in Gardner and Edgerton. The route also goes to the 3-Trails Park & Ride at Bannister Road and Blue Ridge Blvd. It runs Monday through Saturday, from 5:00 a.m. to 6:15 p.m. during rush hour. Base bus fare is $1.50. Seniors, youths and riders with disabilities can qualify for half fares in many locations. A variety of passes, the full schedule and map are available online at www.RideKC.org.

RideKC Freedom is a shared ride program providing affordable curb-to-curb transportation for registered residents of Johnson County. Riders must meet one of these categories: older adults (65+), persons with disabilities or persons with low-income. RideKC Freedom operates Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (except major holidays). Trips will be scheduled by the rider up to seven days in advance and no later than two days prior to the trip. Cost Per One-Way Trip: 0 - 10 miles = $5.20; 10.01 - 20 miles = $6.20; 20.01 + miles= $7.20. Residents who qualify for the reduced fare program (based on income) pay $3.20 per one-way trip.

RideKC Freedom On Demand operates as an on-demand, curb-to-curb or door-to-door service to older adults (65+), persons with disabilities and persons with low income. The service area is all of Johnson County Service and offers same-day scheduling, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The costs per trip are $5 for the first 5 miles & $2 for each mile after. The Freedom Mobile App allows customers to schedule a ride with their mobile phones. No smartphone? No problem! Once you are enrolled, call 816-842-9070 to book a trip.
