The Gardner Police Department has five certified Child Safety Seat Technicians. These Officers attended specialized training to learn how to install Child Safety Seats correctly.

Due to these Officers working various shifts, it is necessary to schedule an appointment for one of the Officers to do your Child Safety Seat Check.

A certified technician will show you the different options available for installing your Child Safety Seat. Once you have chosen which is best for you, they will show you how to install it properly. Please bring your car seat manual if you have it.

Email carseat@gardnerkansas.gov and one of our technicians will contact you. In your email, please list the best time of day for you to come to the Gardner Justice Center, 16540 N. Moonlight Road. They will work around your schedule as much as possible. If you do not have email capabilities, please call 913-856-7312 during regular business hours, and staff will assist you with contacting one of the officers.

Child Safety Seat safety checks can take some time to do correctly, so please be prepared for the appointment to take up to an hour.
