Thank you for your willingness to serve the City of Gardner. Your service on a board or commission is a tremendous opportunity to influence the decisions and actions taken by our government.

Your appointment carries a great deal of responsibility. You will be expected to maintain the highest level of ethical standards and avoid the appearance of conflicts of interest. Your preparation for and regular attendance of meetings is vital to the success of your term.

As a board or commission member, you are required to complete an annual online training regarding Open Records, Open Meetings, and Public Officials Liability. New members are required to complete an online orientation. In addition, the City has created a handbook to provide guidelines for members of the City of Gardner's boards and commissions.
