Johnson County Developmental Supports (JCDS) provides facilitates, career and personal development for Johnson County residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities. JCDS also serves as the Community Developmental Disabilities Organization (CDDO) for Johnson County.  JCDS offers a single point of entry for those seeking Developmental Disabilities services, determines eligibility for services, and coordinates a network of over 90 Johnson County providers.

senior nutrition centers

The Area Agency on Aging provides nutritious meals at six Neighborhood Centers in Johnson County. In addition, Neighborhood Centers offer a variety of services, activities, and educational programs for older individuals in the community. A hot noon meal is available for anyone age 60+ and their spouse. Neighborhood Centers are open Monday – Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. The Gardner Neighborhood Center is located at the Senior Center at 128 E. Park St.

Multi-Service Outreach Centers provide a safety net for those in need and a means of moving beyond cycles of aid into self-reliance. The Gardner-Edgerton Multi-Service Center provides Outreach Services to individuals and families in need living in the Gardner/Edgerton School District. The Center is located at 510 W. Main, Suite #D. Hours are Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Clients are seen by appointment only.
