Preliminary planning and design for a wastewater collection system  is underway. Wastewater plants provide safe collection, transportation, and treatment of wastewater generated by residential, industrial, and commercial customers. The City of Gardner is looking to expand its wastewater system in effort to increase collection and treatment to eliminate disease-causing bacteria and to protect the environment for human and aquatic life.

The study is expected to be completed by spring 2022.
