The City has obtained funding from the Kansas Department of Transportation to replace the existing Gardner Road bridge over I-35. This is Phase 2 of the project , which is slated to begin 2024. The bridge was designed to fit into the future ultimate Diverging Diamond Interchange (DDI) configuration, an extension of Phase 2.
