The City of Gardner will continue fog sealing roads throughout the city starting Wednesday, Sept. 18. Fog sealing involves spraying an asphalt emulsion onto an existing street surface. The emulsion protects the pavement from weathering and seals cracks.

Weather permitting, crews will work from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. throughout the week, intermittently closing streets from the north end of the city to the south where chip seal has been applied. Some of the impacted streets include Canton Street, Blair Street, and 164th Street.

Residents along these areas should regularly check for notification of when their particular street will receive the fog seal treatment. The notification states that all vehicles must be moved from the road and sprinklers turned off.
