Scholarship Program
The services of the Gardner Parks and Recreation Department are designed to benefit everyone. Fees are based on the cost of providing each service. No one should miss the opportunity to participate in our recreational activities due to the inability to pay. The Gardner Parks and Recreation Department’s “Workreation” program offers parents, and sometimes children, the opportunity to pay for their registration fees by performing community service for the Parks and Recreation Department. Please contact our department at 856-0936 for more information. All requests will be kept strictly confidential.

Activity Guides
This publication is mailed free of charge to residents of the City of Gardner and surrounding areas to inform the community of planned, beneficial leisure activities. If you are not currently receiving this service, please call our office at (913) 856-0936 to be put on our current mailing list.

Program/Event Sponsorship
Groups, clubs, organizations, businesses, corporations and/or individuals can be sponsors of the Gardner Parks and Recreation Department’s activities, programs, and special events. Gardner Parks and Recreation offers educational experiences that help stimulate growth, self-respect and physical fitness. With your donations, more programs can be available, affordable, and expanded. Gifts and donations can be accepted in the form of money, volunteer time, specific goods and/or items.

Volunteers
The Gardner Parks and Recreation Department is greatly dependent upon volunteers. If you would like to volunteer for a special event, program, or project, please contact Gardner Parks and Recreation for more information.
